Michigan’s Creative Coast

Video series production (2020-2021)

Michigan’s Creative Coast is a talent-attraction initiative launched by Traverse Connect aimed at attracting new residents to the Traverse City area. MCC approached me to concept, produce, shoot and edit a series of 6 videos that speak to young entrepreneurs and creatives considering a move to Traverse City by showcasing all that the region has to offer from both a career and recreational standpoint. 4 of these videos were profile stories on younger couples who have recently made Traverse City their home.

This project was made possible by generous funding from Hagerty and the Michigan Film & Digital Media Office.

Traverse Magazine is a lifestyle magazine publication based in Traverse City, Michigan. They value stories that share the uniqueness of the region’s people, places and experiences. Since 2018, I’ve pitched ideas and developed relationships with the magazine editors and creative team.

I’ve written and photographed several outdoor-focused stories for Traverse Magazine, utilizing my technical writing skills and authentic photography style to engage readers throughout Michigan and beyond.
